Just spent hours working on my Long Beach Half video only to have the audio content blocked.
Check back tomorrow. I should have the video redone by then.
In the meantime I’ll leave you the good, the bad, and the ugly:
The Good
Great race organization, great weather, great dinner with friends the night before.
The Bad
My performance. I knew it wasn't going to be my “A” race, but I didn’t think I would be 3 hours to finish.
The Ugly
Me past mile 10. Pathetic.
But the best part? It’s two days post race and my knee is pretty much pain free.
Details tomorrow….
Yeah for being pain free!
ReplyDeleteI'm so relieved to hear the knee is doing so well, I was worried about you.
ReplyDeleteWell I certainly hear ya on the go-no go decision and the Not gonna be my A race. Congrats for running it anyway, sorry you didn't get the time you wanted, sorry it was ugly after mile 10, but REALLY happy that you're almost pain free again :) :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you are pain free that is great news....
ReplyDeleteJust today, I looked up your YouTube video from LA Marathon, and noticed the audio was stripped out. That sucks!! Still.. always look forward to your videos! Worth the wait. Glad the knees are ok. I'm going to jump on the rower tomorrow morning, and maybe do a little swimming in the afternoon if the weather cooperates. Glad we finally go to meet! I'm thinking of doing Surf City Half and LA Marathon like 7 weeks later. Is that crazy? I feel SOOO far away from being able to even finish 26.2
ReplyDeleteI jinxed your audio by speaking over your video in the first mile - sorry!:)
ReplyDeleteI missed ya at the end. Glad your knee is better. I agree with organization. I actually really like this race. It is on my do again list. Weather though - I actually like running in the sun, and 60-70% less humidity. The breezes on the beach hit the spot though! Great seeing ya again! See ya at Crystal Cove!
That is great you are pain free! Glad you were able to finish even if it wasn't your A race.
ReplyDeleteYay for being pain free...and if it takes a 3 hour 1/2 Mary to get there, then that has to be filed as "good."
ReplyDeleteThanks again for organizing the dinner. It was great to see you again.
Oh...and yes, both Walter and I will be running Shelter Island...a 5K! Can't wait!
Nothing ugly about pain free running. Way to test that leg out Glenn!
ReplyDeleteOUCH! We could be twins, I had issues with my knee at my 1/2......
ReplyDeletePain free = success!
ReplyDeleteGlad your knee is feeling better!
ReplyDeleteHmm maybe all the knee needed was a dose of LSD?
ReplyDeleteSo happy to see you are currently pain free. Now on to the next one Glenn! Woot!
ReplyDeleteLook forward to seeing the video isn't it great to be injury free though it takes sometime to recover your previous fitness and stamina and if you are like me you probably have little patience!
ReplyDeleteGrrr, sorry about the time...but pain-free is a gift, huh??!! Looking forward to the full blown report!
ReplyDeleteBummer about the video messing up on you, but congrats on a great race. Pain free knee is a good thing, the best part of that race report!
ReplyDeleteCant wait to see! FABULOUS news about your knee!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm really missing running today. I want you to feel better about what you did over the weekend - at least you did it! Even if I had to walk the whole thing today, I would jump at the chance. Be happy you were out there enjoying the exercise and friends. ;)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that the knee is doing well man. Can't wait to see the video on the half. My idea, is that after the a race, all others are experience. Take care bud.
ReplyDeleteCopyright issues? You need to start composing your own music. Awaiting video....
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the video.
ReplyDeleteI broke down at Mile 10 when I did LB too. Puked all over the side of the road. Gross, I know.
Glad to know you aren't in major pain after running so many miles. Good luck with your video!
ReplyDeleteMan I am so glad I was not alone - it was brutal for me too! I can't wait for your recap!
ReplyDeleteI will be waiting for the race report! High five! Pain free running is great news:)
ReplyDeleteJust getting caught up on some of your last few posts, Glenn. I am glad to hear your knee is better. That picture in the earlier post didn't look good! Take care of yourself, and don't sweat the Long Beach race results too much. There will be other races!
ReplyDeleteAll the best to you, Glenn!
