Week 0 Take Two

Well, it appears that the creeping grunge is making it’s way out of my system. To be honest, it’s been a relaxing week in a strange sense – seems like I have time on my hands in the afternoons and evening. Oh yeah! That’s because I’ve been a good boy and haven’t run! Silly me!

What I’m going to do at this point is reset my Post Marathon Recovery clock and treat this week like Week Zero. Which means I’ll be lacing my shoes up tomorrow:

  • Thursday: 3 miles easy
  • Friday: Rest
  • Saturday: 6 miles easy
  • Sunday: 30 minute tempo
  • Total: 12 miles (or there abouts)
  • Also, I’ll be adding a new section on my weight loss challenge every Friday. I’ll be passing new info as I learn. Come join and learn through my trial and (mostly) error.

    1. Looking forward to those weight loss posts!

So you really prefer Mentatsu to Santouka? Now that makes me really want to go and try Mentatsu. I will report on my findings. It's a hard job but I'll throw myself on that grenade. I probably shouldn't be talking about ramen and weight loss in the same comment field. Sorry. :(

I too am looking forward to the weight loss posts, I could stand to lose a couple of pounds myself and have always found that controlling my eating is the toughest part.

    7. Wow, how many days did it take you to get over the crudy-crud? I'm in my second week, blah! Still running but I can feel that my chest is trying to get rid of gunky-gunk!
Enjoy your time off...the days after a marathon are worse for me than tapering. I feel antsy and just want to get back into the routine. For now though, I'm at the other end...just waiting for "B Day!"
      Be healthy!

re-doing a marathon recovery week is no big deal. take the time to rest and be lazy while you can! hope you are doing well and the last few stubborn pounds are starting to be more cooperative.
